1)  Last event of each month is a shotgun start with a men’s club meeting following the round

2)  All 4 man team events will be a blind draw from “A-B-C-D” pool of players to even out teams

3)  Sign up deadline for 4 Man team games is 4:00 p.m. Monday (end of Skins outing)

Team Competition Format Explanations

4 Man Team Games

Scramble = All players hit from tee, choose best shot, all players hit from that spot, choose best shot, all players hit from that spot, etc., all the way into hole on every hole.

Red Ball = Each team is given a red ball.  Team members must alternate using that red ball for an entire hole.  The red ball counts for the team score on each hole.  In addition to the red ball score, the best score from the remaining 3 team members counts toward the team score.  If a team loses the red ball, the team can continue to play – but will be assessed a 5 stroke penalty for not completing the round with the original red ball (only one 5 stroke penalty regardless of how many “red balls” lost).

Shamble = All four team members tee off.  The team chooses one tee shot for all team members to play from (note:  the team must use at least 3 tee shots from each team member sometime during the round).  From that point, all team members play their own ball.  The 2 best balls on each hole count toward the team score.

Las Vegas Scramble = All four team members are assigned a number, 1 through 4, prior to the round.  After each tee shot, a dice is thrown and the team has to use the drive of the person assigned to the number that comes up from the thrown dice.  If a 5 or 6 is thrown, the team may choose any of the 4 tee shots.  After the tee shot, the team plays a scramble format.

1-2-3 Best Ball = Holes # 1,4,7,10, 13, 16 … 1 best score counts for team score.  Holes # 2, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17 … 2 best scores count for team score.  Holes # 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 … 3 best scores count for team score

2 Man Team Games

Best Ball = Each team member plays their own ball the entire way.  The lowest of the two scores on each hole count for the team score.

Chapman = Each team member hits a drive.  Player A hits player B’s drive, and player B hit’s player A’s drive.  From the two second shots, the team chooses which ball to play alternate shot into the hole from there.  

Pinehurst = Each team member hits a drive.  Following the first shot, the team chooses which ball to play alternate shot into the hole from there.  If the team chooses player A’s drive, player B hits the second shot, player A the next, etc.

Alternate Shot = Player A tees off on all odd holes.  Player B tees off on all even holes.  Players play one ball alternating shots for entire round.

Scramble = Both players hit from tee, choose best shot, both players hit from that spot, choose best shot, both players hit from that spot, etc., all the way into hole on every hole.

Trifecta = Holes 1-6 the team plays Best Ball (both players play their own ball, with the lowest score counting for the team score).  Holes 7-12 the team plays Alternate Shot (play one ball for the team,

alternating shots … players also alternate teeing off on the 6 holes).  Holes 13-18 the team plays Scramble (both tee off, choose best ball, both play from that spot, choose best ball, etc. through hole).
